Mikes Carpets Flooring & Blinds Centre strongly supports a number of organisations that specialise in promoting health and wellbeing of children and families.
VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) – is a hands-on option for Year 11 and 12 students, offering practical work-related experience and learning.
Food For Life – is a non-profit food relief organisation with projects in over 60 countries. Volunteers serve more than 1,500,000 free meals daily in a variety of ways, including: food vans serving to the homeless within major cities around the world; lunch time meals for poor school children throughout India; and also in response to large natural disasters, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service – is a reflection of many of the best qualities of Australia and Australians. The Australian Red Cross Blood Service collects, tests, processes and distributes all blood in Australia and has a total annual revenue of $580 million. The Blood Service employs more than 3800 people, with 1970 volunteers, in 83 fixed donor centres and 38 mobile units that visit over 1000 sites annually. As well, we operate four major blood processing centres and two major blood inventory and distribution hubs throughout Australia.
Product Donations – our significant and ongoing program of product donation provides floor covering and window covering products to non-profit organisations like Churches, Temples and Local Community Organisations across Victoria that help in building a stronger and more caring society.
