- Sheet Vinyl – With very few seams that allow water to penetrate, Vinyl sheets are 100 percent waterproof. Vinyl sheets are great options for bathrooms (or other wet areas) when laid carefully. Vinyl sheets are extremely durable, stain-resistant and waterproof. The foam backing in Vinyl sheets gives a softer feel than tiles or timber.
Acceptable Flooring for Wet Areas
Few flooring options not made of 100 percent waterproof material but can be considered acceptable for covering wet areas are Engineered wood with its water-resistant properties, Laminate flooring acceptable for a few splash and spills and Bamboo flooring is also water-resistant but not waterproof.
