I live in an apartment and had enquired with multiple flooring companies and Mike’s price matched and the initial service offered by one of their experts, Samba was excellent.
Since I required approvals from the owner’s corporation and organise fire service isolation based on the requirements in the building, I had to delay the work by a week and Mike’s team was supportive when I had to reschedule work with just 48 hours notice.
The flooring team did an amazing job and the apartment feels new. I would recommend this company to people that I know.
My only concern with the dealings that I had with them was that the work was not completed based on the booking. I had specifically asked for the work to be completed over the weekend and had the required approvals in place and was promised that the work will be completed over the weekend. Although majority of the work was completed, minor works were done only on Monday. I had to apply for an extension to fire service isolation again for the pending work and this cost me $125. I was given $35 discount towards outstanding payment and a member of their team, Venkat did attempt to handle this well. However, I expected more accountability on their part. I would have given 5 stars if not for this aspect.
So if you live in an apartment, I recommend that you apply for approvals accordingly, providing minimum +1 day in addition to your booking days with Mike’s.
Overall, I am happy with Mike’s and will hire them and recommend to others.
